Layout » Options
- Maximum page width: The maximum width of the index page display. The thumbnail table, copyright, and credits are all restricted to this width.
- Album font size: The base font size for the album. The sizes of all text elements are calculated from this base size - some larger, others smaller. Increasing or decreasing the base font size has a corresponding effect on all text sizes in the album.
- Border around images: If selected, a border is placed around thumbnails and slide images.
- Border width: The width of the border around images.
- Border padding: The number of pixels of padding between images and their borders.
- Fixed shape thumbnails: If selected, thumbnails are cropped to the dimensions chosen under Album » Settings » Images » Image Bounds.
- Separate folder section: If selected, folder thumbnails are shown first on the page in their own section, followed by the regular image thumbnails. If this option is chosen, folder thumbnails are bounded by the dimensions chosen under Album » Settings » Images » Image Bounds » Folders. Otherwise, the folder thumbnails are treated like regular image thumbnails.
- Open web locations in new tab: If selected, web location thumbnails, when clicked, open the target site in a new browser tab, rather than in the current tab.
- Use audio clips: If selected, audio clips that have been attached to album objects will be shown in the slide captions.

Layout » Maps & Downloads
- Google map support: If selected, and if GPS coordinates are available in the EXIF or XMP metadata of the image file, a globe icon is displayed which, if clicked, opens the Google map page in a new browser tab or window.
- Download for images: If selected, displays a download icon on the slides. The link will normally download the slide page image, whether scaled or original. But if both a scaled image and the original image are included in the album, the link downloads the included original instead of the scaled slide page image. Originals may be included by choosing Link to originals via scaled images in the jAlbum settings, or by right-clicking on a thumbnail in the main jAlbum window and choosing Include original. The effect of clicking the icon will depend upon the browser and the configuration of the site visitor's computer. It may place the image in the visitor's download folder, or present a dialog offering various options for opening or saving the image, or open the image in a new browser tab, at which point the visitor can right-click the image and save it.
- Download for videos: If selected, displays a download icon on the slides of videos. The effect of clicking the icon will depend upon the browser and the configuration of the site visitor's computer. It may place the video in the visitor's download folder, or present a dialog offering various options for opening or saving the video, or launch a player and play the video. In the latter case, in order to save the video, the visitor will need to right-click on the download icon and choose Save target as …. The exact wording of the choice will depend upon the browser being used.
- Download opens in new browser tab: Choosing this option causes all browsers to open the image in a new browser tab, rather than to offer a download option.
