Thumbnails » Layout
- Max table width: The maximum width of the thumbnail table. If the viewport width is less than this, the thumbnail table is adjusted to fit.
- Thumbnail spacing: The spacing between thumbnails on the index page.
- Folders last: If selected, the grouped folder thumbnails on a page are shown after the image thumbnails, rather than before. This may be applied only to a specific folder or folders. If you want only the subfolders in Folder A to appear at the bottom of the page for Folder A, do not select Folders last on the settings here. Instead, hover on the Folder A thumbnail in the jAlbum Explore view, and choose More..., then Edit. On the right, expand the Variables panel and enter a variable called locFoldersLast, with a value of true.
Thumbnails » Folders
- Fixed shape: If selected, thumbnails are cropped to the dimensions chosen under Settings » Images » General » Image Bounds » Folders.
- Constrain aspect ratio: If fixed shape thumbnails are not selected, the aspect ratio of each thumbnail will be the same as that of the original image. Choosing this option restricts the aspect ratio (width divided by height) to a minimum of 0.5 and a maximum of 2.5. This prevents panoramic images and unusually tall, skinny images from producing thumbnails with extreme aspect ratios.
- Vertical alignment: If fixed shape thumbnails are not selected, thumbnails may be vertically positioned so that they are top-, middle-, or bottom-aligned.
- Grid: If you are not using fixed shape thumbnails and if no thumbnail captions appear on the page, the thumbnails are evenly spaced, regardless of aspect ratio. Choosing this option causes them to be shown in a grid, with the same number of thumbnails in each row.

Thumbnails » Borders & Hover
- Width, Padding, Image radius, Box radius, Shadow, Opacity: For the index page thumbnails, you may select the width of the border, the amount of padding between the image and its border, the radius applied to the corners of the images, the radius applied to the corners of the boxes surrounding the images, the width of the shadow, and the opacity of the shadow. Setting the border width to 0px results in no border being applied, and setting the shadow width to 0px results in no shadow.
- Shift on hover: The first checkbox, if selected, causes the border on the thumbnail to change color when the visitor hovers on the thumbnail. The second checkbox, if selected, causes the shadow to shift from the southeast corner to the southwest corner when the visitor hovers on the thumbnail.
- Grayscale on hover: If selected, thumbnails are rendered in grayscale when the visitor hovers on the thumbnail.
